Undeterred by these setbacks, they launched Sugar Cosmetics in 2012, bootstrapping the business with personal savings and a loan from Vineeta's father. The brand's first product, crayon lipsticks, was an instant success, propelling the company towards profitability. By 2015, Sugar Cosmetics secured angel funding, expanded its product range, and partnered with major platforms like Nykaa and Amazon. The brand’s growth continued with venture capital backing, the launch of offline stores, and an expansion into skincare and haircare. By 2020, Sugar Cosmetics had become a favorite among Indian millennials, opening its first international store in Dubai. In 2022, it firmly established itself as one of Asia’s top cosmetic companies, with a flagship store in New Delhi.
